Welp, we know why Dad is here.

That headline is not talking about me. Not in the slightest. I think the stuff is nasty, but the things you do for family. Life is rough.

Dad obviously had different thoughts about our tour of the Boulevard Brewing Co. We took the free public tour, which last about an hour. You learn about the history of the place and the making process, plus you get beer during and at the end of the tour. If you like beer, especially free beer, hit this place up next time you visit Kansas City.

As you'll see, not all members of the party loved beer, so others got more beer to drink. They weren't mad.

It's Sunday morning, and we are here for our brewery tour.

After the tour, you get to pick two types of beer to try from the tap.

That's why these are all empty. (If we are being honest, Skye and Dad had to finish off some of the darker ones. The rest of us weren't fans.)

After this hip adventure, we drove to the edge of town to tour the Strawberry Hill Museum & Cultural Center. I'm just going to come right out and say this place is not where the cool kids go. It's for people who love Kansas City history, old homes and trinkets from other cultures. Are you hyped yet? We spent quite a while on this tour. I honestly lost track of time. A little old lady guided us around the old home that had multiple uses over the years, and then upstairs through this tiny culture rooms. I can now check this off my bucket list. Thanks, Mom and Dad!

Cole and I made an appearance for only a short time. We flew in Saturday and flew back out Sunday after the Chiefs game (that's where Cole was during these craaaaazy events). But hey, packing a bunch into a quick-trip weekend.
