Lots of Media Lately

Posted by Brenna Malmberg

Dinosaur

At the Milkworks Family Festival, kids could dress up at one of the booths, and this girl decided to be a dinosaur, rawr and all.

Hunk

Mom's little hunk did a little dancing to the String Beans, a local group I featured in a previous blog about Nebraska.

For a while I was searching for something to fill my days. Now, I am writing, design, interviewing or taking photos for hours each day. All of the media buzz in my life is thanks to a bunch of freelance opportunities.

The above photos are from a Milkworks Family Festival outside of Lincoln. I got to go the fun little event and take pictures for the Lincoln Journal Star. To see more of the photos that the Lincoln Journal Star posted, visit the Community Matters. These are the second set of images they have published online. I have gone to a few other events, such as a garage sale to benefit the L5 Youth Ranch. Changing lives with horses and Jesus sounds like a good organization to me. So be on the lookout for more photos soon!

Besides the Lincoln Journal Star photos, I am reporting for the Voice News out of Hickman, Neb. Not all of the content is online, but you can view these different photo albums by going to the Voice News and clicking the photo tab at the top. After that, I have photos in the July 14 album called Hallam Photos, the July 21 photos are of quilting ladies, and the July 28 photos of the Cook of the Week. They are a little harder to find and get to, but just as interesting.

My last media adventure at the moment has been working on newsletter for humane societies and food banks with Alpha Dog Marketing. It has been fun to design and write, but sadly my old computer is slowly dying. Soon I will be working in the office, so that will make my design life a little better. I won't want to yell at my computer so often.

Thanks for checking out my recent work. I will keep you posted on new content. And be excited for adding photos to blog posts and day themes starting next week!
