Punkpost Presents

Posted by Brenna Malmberg

If you're anything like me, you've probably already been doing a little holiday shopping or at least looking so you're prepared for Black Friday deals. This year, I want to support some of my fellow Punkpost handwriting artists by shopping from and promoting the creative goods this creative community makes.

Here's five rad makers and their holiday creations that are up for grabs. Oh, and a plug for Punkpost, because duh.

1. Ashley Tarango of LoneStar Letter. She creates beautiful hand-lettered work on wood (see above, y'all!). She makes everything from Christmas tree ornaments on little wood slices to serving trays and welcome signs. Her "Mi Casa Es Su Casa" is her best seller.

Order date: All pieces are handmade and completely customizable. That said, definitely place your order by Nov. 30 to guarentee delivery before Christmas. Order placed after Nov. 30 will be finished and shipped as soon as Christmas orders are done.

Shipping: She ships all over the United States. If you live in far North Texas, you can opt for local pickup/delivery.

2. Stacey Hsi of Chickpea Yarns. Hello, lovely yarn. Stacey, and Ting, dye their own yarn, and the results are unique and lovely. They also put a lot of thought into each product's names, which you know I love. Let's also not be surprised that I have my eye on some of those purple ones. I need to snatch up my fav before someone else does because they aren't planning on dying anymore yarn this season.

Order date: Make your purchase by Dec. 15 to be safe.

Shipping: You'll find domestic and international shipping options.

3. Stephanie Vos of makepeacewritenow. Stephanie creates art to inspire and delight, and that's exactly what these handlettered printables offer. You can have her work up in your home or office in a matter of minutes. How cool is that!?! And, she's offering anyone who reads this $2 off any piece with code MERRYANDBRIGHT.

Order date: Any time. Just buy and print.

Shipping: Delivered digitally right after ordering.

4. Janie Javier of Createhappy247. This New York illustrator does custom portrait work, and offers signs and cards for all occasions. Personally, I love the animals in clothes concept. Totally my kind of art.

Order date: Get your orders in by Dec. 3, especially any portraits.

Shipping: For Christmas delivery, order by Dec. 3.

4. Kim Best of KIMBESTcreative. Another New Yorker (from Rochester) brings us holiday-themed hand-lettered prints, watercolor holiday cards, calligraphy quotes, and card sets. And honestly, we could all use that definition of joy all year long.

Order date: Dec. 17.

Shipping: Again, order by Dec. 17, but ... I'd say if you want to send her holiday cards this year, you want to order sooner.

Punkpost! The brand new holiday cards are live in the shop. I've even got two designs up in the shop: Oh What Fun (shown above) and Warm Winter Wishes. All you have to do is download the app (Apple or Android) and start sending. If you don't want your Christmas card to arrive just yet, you can schedule ahead, and Punkpost will take care of it later for you.

Happy shopping to all, and thanks for considering Punkpost and its peeps while you shop!
