Last weekend, my family went to the Nationwide NASCAR races at the Kansas Speedway. My family had been jealous ever since Cole and I went to the races in Daytona during our honeymoon. They even got to watch the Sprint Cup drivers qualify.

As Carl Edwards passed Brad Keselowski, who had been leading most of the race, the fans went wild. The stands were definitely full of fans of Edwards, including my mom. To the crowds disappointment, Brad Keselowski ran away with the win, many car lengths ahead of Carl Edwards who got second. . . .

With the Olympics less than a year away, the gymnastics community is starting to get excited about its chances. Sure, the team has struggled with injuries such as Rebecca Bross dislocated kneecap and Alicia Sacramone's torn Achilles tendon. . . .

I wanted to venture around Lincoln and take some photos after work. Instead, the sky decided to turn dark and the wind kicked all of the particles that flare up my allergies into the air.

In other words, my photo fun was cut short.

I did manage to get a few snapshots, and the one I like best was of a sewer cat that was a little skittish. He bounded off as soon as I crouched down to get a better shot. . . .
